20th Congressional district race: Tedisco vs. Murphy
In New York, a special election Congressional race between Republican James N. Tedisco and Democrat Scott Murphy is heating up. Murphy is a venture capitalist who’s never held office, supports the federal stimulus package and touts his experience with creating jobs through his investments in start-ups. His opponent Tedisco is an Assemblyman who is a long term resident of Albany. Between the two, the issue of AIG bonuses has exploded to the forefront. Apparently, Tedisco’s tactic is to take this opportunity to pin blame for the AIG fiasco on Murphy, for Murphy’s support of the stimulus which ostensibly led to the bonus furore.
